Denver7 reports that an early-stage proposal would build an eight-building, 2.5 million-square-foot data center campus near County Road 4 and 50th Avenue in northeast Brighton. The city has received a rezoning application, but the proposal has not yet been scheduled for a City Council public hearing.
Mayor Pro Tem Peter Padilla said he plans to propose a 90-day moratorium on data center applications at the Oct. 6 City Council meeting. City records identified water demand, cooling technology and water-recycling questions for further review, according to the report.
