About the Treasurer…

Article IV, Section 1 of the Weld GOP Central Committee Bylaws says, “The Chairman, the Secretary, and the Weld County Republican Treasurer shall be elected by a majority vote of the said Weld County Republican Central Committee, aforesaid, cast at a meeting upon notice previously given, by those present and voting.”

Section 6 of the same article says, “The Weld County Republican Treasurer shall maintain, receive and expend funds and make, or cause to be made, proper disclosure reports to the IRS and to the committee. He/she shall maintain an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures and perform such other duties as assigned to him by the County Chairman. The Treasurer shall be bonded for an amount to be determined by the Executive Committee on a yearly basis. Said bond shall be acquired and paid for by the Weld County Republican Central Committee.”

The Treasurer serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Patronage Committee.

Eric is a design engineer for a laser research and manufacturing company in Boulder. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from CU Boulder and has lived in or north of Denver for most of his life. Article VI, Section 5 of the Weld County Republican Central Committee bylaws says, “The Secretary shall be the chief clerical officer of the committee. He/she shall keep a complete record of all the proceedings of the committee, the Executive Committee, and perform such other duties as may be delegated to the Secretary by the committee or by the Chairman or acting Chairman. He/she shall issue and attend to the service of all notices of meetings and Committee appointments. He/she shall issue all calls for meetings of the Committee and all County assemblies or conventions. The Secretary is ultimately responsible for obtaining all necessary forms signed and filed with the Secretary of State immediately following the assembly or convention. He/she will schedule and coordinate training for District Captains and committee people as to their duties and responsibilities. The Secretary shall remain current in changes of the election laws. The Secretary shall promote the best interests of the Republican party in Weld County and exercise the best efforts to keep or develop harmony in the party.”

About the Weld County Republican First Vice Chair…

Article VI, Section 4 of the Weld County Republican Party Central Committee bylaws says, “The First Vice Chairman shall exercise the functions and duties of the Chairman during any temporary absence, temporary disability or permanent vacancy of the Chairman until a successor is duly elected and qualified. The Second Vice Chairman shall exercise the functions and duties of the First Vice Chairman in his absence or incapacity. Each Vice Chairman shall also perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Chairman or these by-laws. Each Vice Chairman shall only be entitled to cast a one-half vote as a member on such other party central committees or vacancy committees of which they are ex-officio members except when voting by proxy for another member of the central committee. The First and Second Vice Chairmen shall promote the best interests of the Republican Party in Weld County and exercise their best efforts to keep and develop harmony in the party.”
