About Sean Pond
Sean M. Pond is a U.S. Navy veteran, fifth-generation Coloradan, and current county commissioner, running for the United States Senate to represent Colorado. He comes from a family deeply rooted in Colorado’s ranching, agricultural, and small-business communities, giving him a lifetime perspective on the values, challenges, and opportunities that define the state.
With decades of experience in oil and gas, as well as leadership in local government, Sean understands both the energy industry and the needs of communities across Colorado. He has built and managed businesses, faced setbacks, and rebuilt, giving him firsthand knowledge of risk, responsibility, resilience, and long-term planning.
Sean is running because Colorado families face rising costs, growing public safety concerns, and Washington policies that feel disconnected from everyday life.
He believes Colorado deserves leadership that lowers the cost of living, policies that ensure public safety and accountability, responsible management of energy, land, and water, strong support for agriculture, rural communities, and food security, and a federal government that supports people rather than replacing them.
A fifth-generation Coloradan, Sean’s values are shaped by service, independence, stewardship, and community. He believes freedom thrives where responsibility is expected, neighbors support one another, and leaders act with discipline, integrity, and long-term vision.
