About Jim Rundberg
Jim Rundberg is a US Army veteran, Colorado native, and community advocate. A graduate of
Colorado Northwestern Community college, he served as a Special Operations Engineer and has been
active in Colorado politics, running as an independent in 2014 and as a Republican in 2022. A proud
Christian and family man, Rundberg is committed to restoring Colorado’s values and prosperity.
Jim Rundberg was born October 21, 1955 in Denver, Colorado His family moved to Grand Valley,
Colorado in June 1964. Jim graduated Salutatorian from Grand Valley High School in May 1974.
He enlisted in the US Army in June 1974 volunteering in a time of war of the Viet Nam Conflict of the
United States. Jim became the Honor Graduate of his US Army Basic Training Class in August 1974.
He completed MOS 12B in September 1974, US Army Airborne School in October 1974, US Army
Special Fores Qualifications Course in March 1975, and was assigned to A Detachment 743 A
Company 2nd Battalion 7th SFGA. He completed US Army HALO School in July 1975. Jim Rundberg
server America in the US Army from 1974 through 1986. He also served three years in the US Army
501 Aviation Battalion in the Federal Republic of west Germany. Jim Rundberg attained the rank of
Non Commissioned Officer E-6. He has been awarded the US Army Commendation Medal, Special
Forces Full Flash, Special Forces Tab, HALO Tab, Airborne Wings, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert
Rifleman Badge. He completed both Primary Non Commissioned Officer, and Basic Non
Commissioned Officer Training.
Jim Rundberg has attended University of Maryland, Mesa College, Jimmy Swaggart Bible, and
Colorado Northwestern Community College. He has worked toward a Business Management Degree
and an Associate of Aerospace Science degree. Jim Rundberg has worked in the telecommunications
industry from 1990 to the present. He is currently CEO of Flat Telecommunications, Inc. He makes
his home in Colorado’s San Luis Valley.
