About Jason Mikesell

Jason Mikesell is a highly experienced and successful leader and law enforcement professional. Jason has been recognized by civilian, law enforcement and military agencies for his expertise in physical security, close personal protection, investigations, intelligence and information analysis, counterterrorism, and high-risk arrest techniques. He has personally trained Special Forces teams across all services and in every active-duty Special Forces Group. He provides specialized training to the country’s law enforcement officials at every level from local to federal. Moreover, his instruction stretches into the multi-national realm, resulting in increased effectiveness and survivability of the militaries and law enforcement professionals of several allied countries around the world. Jason has also worked to provide physical security and personal protection to some of the world’s wealthiest families.

With well over 20 years of law enforcement experience, Jason has served as a peace officer in two Colorado counties. He rose to the rank of Commander, leading detention facilities and SWAT and LE Operations. Jason was also personally recognized for his leadership during the capture of the infamous Texas 7. With his demonstrated leadership and his dedication to the people he serves, Jason was selected by Teller County’s Commissioners to become Sheriff, and the people of Teller County voted for him to hold the office for two terms.

Jason is the grandson of a Chief of Police and the son of Navy war hero. He has known from a young age that he would to spend his life protecting those around him. Throughout a lifetime of service, both locally and around the world, Jason gains many abilities and pulls into his orbit the most talented people with complementary skills.
