DESCRIPTION:The Weld County Republican County Assembly will take place at: \n\n\n\nNorthridge High School7001 Grizzly DrGreeley\, CO 80634 \n\n\n\nCounty Assembly is where delegates elected at Precinct Caucus to the County Assembly gather to nominate (designate) Republican candidates for certain county offices and other eligible contests. \n\n\n\nOnly delegates and alternates elected through the caucus process are eligible to participate in County Assembly voting. \n\n\n\n2026 Weld County offices up for election (nominated at County Assembly)\n\n\n\n\nWeld County Commissioner At-Large\n\n\n\nWeld County Commissioner District 2\n\n\n\nWeld County Clerk and Recorder\n\n\n\nWeld County Sheriff\n\n\n\nWeld County Assessor\n\n\n\nHouse District 50 (HD50 residents only — held at County Assembly because HD50 is entirely within Weld County)\n\n\n\n\nHow candidates qualify for the June Primary ballot\n\n\n\n\nTo be designated by assembly onto the primary ballot\, a candidate generally must receive at least 30% of the votes cast at the relevant assembly.\n\n\n\nBallot order: Candidates designated by assembly are placed on the primary ballot in the order of the vote received at the assembly (highest vote-getter listed first).\n\n\n\n\nPetition option (instead of caucus/assembly)\n\n\n\nCandidates may also choose to petition onto the ballot rather than seek assembly designation. Colorado’s Secretary of State provides a separate petition process and deadlines. \n\n\n\nA key rule to know if someone tries to do both: \n\n\n\n\nIf a candidate fails to receive at least 10% of the votes cast at the party assembly for that office\, they are not eligible to run by petition for the same party/office.\n\n\n\n\nCandidate Notification Requirement\n\n\n\nCandidates seeking to qualify for the 2026 Republican Primary ballot through the County Assembly must formally notify the Weld County Republican Party of their intent no later than 30 days prior to County Assembly. \n\n\n\nDeadline to notify the county party:Thursday\, February 19\, 2026
