About Brycen Garrison
Brycen Garrison currently serves as Fire Chief of the Brighton Fire Rescue District, bringing over two decades of leadership in emergency services to the role. His career spans positions such as Assistant Chief of Training and Special Operations for the City of Thornton Fire Rescue, and he’s nationally recognized for teaching advanced extrication techniques to firefighters across the country.
Garrison holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a master’s in Emergency Services Management from Columbia Southern University. He has served on numerous boards, including the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce, Adams County Economic Development Commission, and the E911 Authority Board. He also served as Vice President of the Foundation Academy School Board from 2017 to 2020.
Garrison declared his candidacy for Governor of Colorado as a Republican, entering a crowded field of contenders vying for a spot on the 2026 primary ballot. While this marks his first run for elected office, his extensive public service and community leadership reflect a deep commitment to Colorado’s future.
