NEWS BRIEF

The Colorado Sun reported that former state Rep. Manny Rutinel’s current congressional campaign website no longer includes, or uses different wording for, some references that appeared on his 2024 statehouse campaign site. The changes included descriptions of his legal work, civil-rights priorities and other policy positions.

According to the report, Rutinel’s campaign said the updates were routine for a shift from a state legislative race to a federal campaign and that his values have not changed. The article also described changes to U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans’ campaign materials and noted that general-election ballots could begin arriving soon in the 8th District.

What to know

The report compares archived 2024 campaign pages with Rutinel’s current congressional site. His campaign says the revised language reflects different priorities for a federal race, while maintaining that his underlying values remain the same.
