NEWS BRIEF
Colorado county clerks can begin sending mail ballots to active voters for the Nov. 3 general election, according to Colorado Politics. Under a new law, clerks have until Oct. 9 to mail ballots, providing voters additional time to complete them. The Secretary of State’s office said voters may use drop boxes and voter centers beginning in mid-October.
Colorado Politics reported that Oct. 26 is the deadline to register and still receive a ballot by mail, and it is also the last suggested day to mail a completed ballot. Ballots returned at a drop box or voter center are due Oct. 27. On Election Day, ballots must be submitted or voters must be in line by 7 p.m.
