NEWS BRIEF
Denver7 reports that Towards Justice, representing Hudson residents and Together Colorado, amended a lawsuit seeking to block a proposed ICE detention center at a former correctional facility in Hudson.
The amended claims dispute how the town applied its land-use code and whether an earlier conditional use permit remains valid. Hudson Town Manager Bryce Lange said the town applies its land-use code objectively and lawfully. Denver7 reported the proposed facility is expected to add about 1,200 beds.
What to know
The lawsuit raises unresolved questions about Hudson's land-use process for the proposed facility. Plaintiffs contend additional review is required, while the town says it lawfully applies its code. The case has not established whether the facility may proceed.
