NEWS BRIEF

Colorado Politics reports that a campaign finance complaint alleges two issue committees supporting Propositions 134 and 135 did not disclose petition-circulation work by Taylor Petition Management as expenditures or in-kind contributions. The complaint also alleges missing reports on paid circulators’ work dates, hours and wages. The Secretary of State certified both measures for the November ballot after determining each had sufficient valid signatures. State law allows committees to correct reporting failures after notice from the Elections Division.

What to know

The complaint is an allegation, not a finding. Both ballot measures were certified after signature reviews, and the Elections Division has an initial-review deadline; state law provides a process for correcting unreported expenditures or contributions.
