North Forty News reports that Greeley’s inaugural Bear Bash and 16th Street Ribbon Cutting Celebration is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. The free event will be held along 16th Street, with activities centered near UNC’s Howard M. Skinner Music Library.
The program includes a ribbon cutting for the completed 16th Street Enhancement Project, music, business specials and activities connected with the WeldWalls Mural Festival. The project added wider sidewalks, landscaping, lighting and parking improvements, along with changes intended to improve walking and bicycling between UNC and downtown.
