Brighton City Council meets to conduct city business, consider ordinances and public hearings, and make decisions affecting the community. The mayor and eight council members serve as Brighton’s elected representatives.
Regular meetings begin at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the first-floor Council Chambers at City Hall, 500 S. Fourth Avenue. To comment on an item not listed on the agenda, complete the form available at the front desk and give it to the city clerk before the meeting. Check the current agenda for schedule changes. The meetings are public and all are welcome to attend.
